As a former student of St Edmund’s, the College is your home for life, and you are always very welcome to visit. Ideally, please contact the Development Office ahead of your visit so that we will know to expect you and can ensure that you receive a warm welcome.

We will be happy to give you a tour of the College during normal working hours (9am-5pm Monday to Thursday, 9am-4pm on Fridays). Please present yourself to the Porters’ Lodge and if you have a CAMcard, please bring it with you.

You are welcome to visit Edspresso, the College’s coffee shop, and if the servery is open you are welcome to dine informally and pay with a credit or debit card.

We realise that might not always be able to give us notice of your visit, or that you will be in Cambridge outside of normal working hours. If you arrive at the College outside of these hours, or at the weekend or on public holidays, then you are welcome to walk around the College grounds but please come to the Porters’ Lodge first.

Please note that you may be able to leave your car temporarily, while you are on College grounds, but parking is not available on site except in exceptional circumstances, by prior arrangement with the Development Office.

Sadly it is not possible for alumni or visitors to visit their old rooms, because it is likely to be occupied. St Edmund’s is a home for students and researchers throughout the year and their privacy should be respected. No entry to residential areas is permitted, except if College accommodation has been booked. You can request to reserve a room for an overnight stay by completing this form: the Accommodation team will contact you to discuss availability.
