A Member for Life
When you matriculated, you became a member of College for life, and so the College will continue to create opportunities for you to come back and stay connected after your studies are complete.
Please let the Alumni Office know if you change your contact details, if you have any news to share with the College or if you are planning a return visit to St Edmund’s, as we would be
delighted to see you.
You can also read our alumni benefits brochure, which contains some
information on the various College, university, and Alumni Society benefits that you are eligible for as a member of the St Edmund’s alumni community.
Events in College and Around the World
The main way in which this happens is through a programme of events throughout the year. This ranges from dinners and events in College, to socials in London, to regional events throughout the year as our Fellows travel to different places and where alumni are able to organise gatherings in their new homes. We are also excited to be able to continue to bring some virtual events to alumni around the world. Please, check our events calendar for full details; please, email email@example.com if you are interested in hosting a gathering in your area.
Come Back and Stay in St Edmund’s!
If you find yourself back in Cambridge, the College offers accommodation to alumni at a reduced rate should you wish to stay at St Edmund’s. The College also rents out spaces for events & conferences which you can find out more about by e–mailing conference.coordinator@st–edmunds.cam.ac.uk.
Alumni and friends of St Edmund’s are welcome to stay in College guest rooms at their own expense for up to five nights per year, subject to availability.

Weddings, Christenings the Works!

Punts (BYOB and Sunshine)
St Edmund’s has three sea-worthy punts (thanks to your generosity during our punts crowdfunder!) that are housed in St John’s College. We are one of the only Colleges that allow alumni free hire of the punts through the season (April-November). If you are interested in reserving a punt, email email@example.com and the Development Office can make arrangements.
Friendships That Will Last a Lifetime
If you ever want to get back in touch with friends from your time here, or come back to visit either independently or with a group, drop a line to firstname.lastname@example.org as we’d love to help!
Entrepreneurial Opportunities and Careers Service from St Ed’s
The Alumni Society
There for You From the Beginning
When you matriculated at St Edmund’s, you became a member of the College’s Alumni Society for life. One of its primary aims is to bring alumni together and it provides funds if you wish to organise a small event in your area for Eddies who may be living nearby. If you graduated from St Edmund’s recently, the Society also offers small grants for activities that benefit your personal development and that of other members of the College.
For Alumni; by Alumni
The Alumni Society committee is present at events throughout the year and subsidises many of the events open to alumni. Most notably among these are the Guest Night dinners, held in December, March, and July each year with a special price for alumni. The Society is also working on building a network of regional reps to help organise activities in places where there are larger numbers of Eddies alumni.
The Society is always recruiting for its Committee, as well as for people interested in organising regional events around the world. Send an email to email@example.com if you might be interested in getting involved, or have questions about the nature and work of the Alumni Society.
Collecting your MA
B.A. graduates become eligible for the M.A. six years after the end of their first term of residence, as long as two years have passed since they graduated B.A.. An honorary degree, but a great opportunity to catch up with your friends and unlock a few more university benefits, this isn’t something to miss out on. For more information, please visit the Tutorial pages.
Requesting a copy of a degree certificate/transcript
Should you want replacement copies of your degree certificate or a transcript, a document which lists your courses and the grades you achieved in them, you will have to contact the student registry. There is further information and an online form on their website.
In addition to the benefits you receive from St Edmund’s as soon as you matriculate you become a lifetime member of the University of Cambridge. This entitles you to benefits such as email for life and your CAMCard, which allows you and up to three other people free entrance to all the colleges when they are open to the public. It also acts as your University Centre membership and offers discounts in many Cambridge shops, restaurants and hotels.
University Careers Service
The University Careers Service is different from most in that you can continue to use it for the rest of your life. If you ever want help moving through your career, finding your next job, or refining and polishing skills for that next step, this may be the place for you.
If you happen to find yourself recruiting graduates, then the Careers Service also represents a place to advertise jobs, and alongside the College is a place where you can offer work experience and shadowing opportunities. More information can be found via the University website, and please also email
firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in offering opportunities to current St Edmund’s students or networking with fellow alumni.
