All graduated members of the University of Cambridge gain access to a selection of benefits. For a full list visit the Benefits section of the Cambridge Alumni website.

Collecting your MA

B.A. graduates become eligible for the M.A. (Cantab) six years after the end of their first term of residence, as long as two years have passed since they graduated. The M.A (Cantab) is an honorary degree in recognition of all your hard work during your undergraduate degree, and is a great opportunity to catch up with your friends and unlock a few more university benefits like higher dining rights. For more information, please visit the Tutorial pages.

University Careers Service

The University Careers Service is different from most in that you can continue to use it for the rest of your life. If you ever want help moving through your career, finding your next job, or refining and polishing skills for that next step, this may be the place for you. They offer a range of support including one-to-one consultations and access to an online job platform called Handshake.

If you happen to find yourself recruiting graduates, then the Careers Service also represents a place to advertise jobs, and alongside the College is a place where you can offer work experience and shadowing opportunities. More information can be found via the University website.

Please also email the Development Office if you are interested in offering opportunities to current St Edmund’s students or networking with fellow alumni.

Certificates and Transcripts

Should you want replacement copies of your degree certificate or a transcript, a document which lists your courses and the grades you achieved in them, you will have to contact the student registry. There is further information and an online form on their website.

CAm Card

The CAMCard is your official alumni card and is free to all alumni who have matriculated and studied on an approved course at Cambridge. As well as access to Colleges, the CAMCard provides you with a range of benefits. Find out how to get your CAMCard if you don’t already have one.

Alumni Email

Alumni benefits from the University of Cambridge give you access to an exclusive email address at cantab.ac.uk, or cantab.net, to show your affiliation with the University. The services you can use depends on when you completed your studies.

A Raven for Life account (for those who completed their studies in summer 2018 or later), or cantab.net email address can be used to access online benefits including journals and online resources, and an easy way to update your contact information.
